What chargebyte GmbH presented to the electromobility market last year with the Charge Module E is now getting an upgrade with the Charge Control F. The new communication controller can be easily added to the existing hardware of the charging station thanks to the integrated connectors. Just like its predecessor, the controller manages the entire charging process, so the user no longer has to worry about communication between the charging station and the e-vehicle.
What's new with the Charge Control F?
"The new communication controller enables a simple addition of high-level communication to an existing charging system through the basis of the Charge Module E and the extension of the hardware", explains Thomas Wagner, CEO of chargebyte GmbH. "The controller additionally takes over the generation and evaluation of the required signals for vehicle communication and can thus be used directly."
The Charge Module E is already known to handle the entire high-level communication according to ISO15118 and DIN70121 for controlling the charging process in the charging station or wallbox. For this purpose, the product has been optimized for powerline charging communication. It manages the communication to the electric vehicle (EV) and also takes care of the protocol formalities of DIN 70121 as well as ISO 15118.
Other features of the Charge Control F:
· IEC61851 / SAEJ 1772
· Dual mode ISO 15118 / DIN 70121 SW Stack (DC)
· CAN interface
· Prepared for Plug and Charge
· Prepared for bidirectional charging
· Prepared for AC ISO 15118
